Rector's Relish

1.5 kg tomatoes
500g onions
2 cups sugar
2 1/2 cups vinegar
1 tbs flour
1 tbs curry powder
Pinch cayenne
1 tbs dry mustard
1 tbs salt

Cut up tomatoes and reserve 3/4 cup of juice.
Cut up onions finely
Put in saucepan with tomatoes, sugar and vinegar
Boil slowly until it thickens
Blend flour, curry powder, cayenne, mustard and salt with tomato juice
Add to saucepan and stir until boiling
Cook gently for 3 minutes
Bottle in warm jars and seal when cool
